My other heroes are my parents, George & Phyllis Stuber, who celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on June 25th.  Thank you for bringing me up right and teaching me the value of hard work on the farm.  I “was” planning on going home for a big family party but…damn virus….Next Year for Sure!!

 

I was hopeful clients could start flying in to see me this month but…..here we go again….another month until hopefully the airports will reopen.   Good thing I’m super chill, just hanging out waiting….waiting…waiting J  I have no idea when the airlines are coming so just keep checking with them.  Maybe once the demand becomes great enough they will come??  Costa Rica announced they will reopen their border August 1, hopefully it actually happens.

 

 

There are confirmed cases of the virus in SJDS but without proper reporting, I have no idea how many.  One Nicaraguan friend said she knows of 10 sick people and one death but I’m sure there are more.  Most people are wearing masks and businesses are taking precautions.  I’m eating healthy, exercising, and taking my vitamins to keep my immune system strong.

Spay & Neuter Clinics

Ikigai Animal Rescue

A team of Vets from Aprovet Nicaragua, based in Granada, Nicaragua, performed 117 sterilization surgeries this month during their low cost/free June Spay & Neuter Clinic in San Juan del Sur.  Sterilization improves an animal’s quality of life for pets and the feral animals they trap for the surgery days.  Sterilizing feral animals greatly reduces the number of unwanted animals begging in the streets.  They also provide food and medicine and other vet services in the community when owners need help.  To contribute to this great cause, they accept donations via PayPal at [email protected]
